Nikki from the horror hit Obsession is coming to Fortnite as part of Fortnitemares, and the date is confirmed. The price and the exact bundle contents aren’t. Here’s what’s official, when you can buy her from India, and whether she’s worth your V-Bucks.
What’s confirmed and what’s still a leak
Epic’s own X account teased the collab on October 19 with a short post giving October 21 as the date. The first in-game look at Nikki followed on October 20, through an exclusive from the movie news account DiscussingFilm. According to ComicBasics, only Nikki has been found in the game files, with no Bear outfit leaked and no second skin hinted at by Epic.
The item list comes from datamined files, not from Epic. Leakers say the set has four cosmetics: the Nikki outfit, a One Wish Willow back bling, Nikki’s Broken Bottle pickaxe and a No No No… emote. Treat that list as very likely but unconfirmed until the shop goes live. Epic hasn’t announced a price.
When Nikki hits the Item Shop (and what that means in India)
Vice reports Nikki arriving at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on Wednesday, October 21. The Fortnite Item Shop refreshes at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:30 AM IST on Thursday, October 22. If you’re in India, she’ll be there when you wake up, not tonight.
One outlet, Esportnow, mentions a “7 PM reset”, which conflicts with the UTC schedule and with Vice. I’d go with the 00:00 UTC reset. Epic hasn’t given its own time.
What’s in the set
| Item | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nikki | Outfit | Epic rarity, per Fortnite Wiki via Timesaver |
| One Wish Willow | Back Bling | Rare; reportedly plays the film’s sound on eliminations |
| Nikki’s Broken Bottle | Pickaxe | Rare |
| No No No… | Emote | Uncommon; reportedly has a special version with the Nikki skin |
Nikki is reported to have her own lobby idle animation. Forbes says the skin can do her smile and her more iconic frown. It’s based on her party-scene look, and Forbes notes Epic has dropped the film’s blood. According to Timesaver, a Splatter style adds black, soot-like stains instead of red.
Timesaver also says the outfit is flagged as age-restricted, so other players may see a default skin if you wear it on an island with a lower content rating. That comes from one source, so check it before relying on it.
What it will probably cost
Epic hasn’t announced a price. Vice and ComicBasics both estimate 1,500 V-Bucks for the outfit, with Vice putting the bundle at 1,600 to 2,000. Timesaver points to The Purge’s Lady Liberty set as precedent: 1,500 V-Bucks with her back bling, and 2,000 for the full bundle. These are estimates, so wait for the shop before topping up.
To turn that into real money, Epic repriced V-Bucks on March 19, 2026. Shacknews lists $8.99 for 800 V-Bucks and $22.99 for 2,400. A 1,500 V-Bucks outfit therefore needs two 800 packs ($17.98) or the 2,400 pack ($22.99), which would also cover a 2,000 V-Bucks bundle. I couldn’t verify rupee prices, so check your store’s price before buying, since platform stores can differ.
First, the One Wish Willow Sprite and the One Wish Willow back bling are different things. ComicBasics reports the Sprite arrived in update v42.40 on October 15, and it’s a collectible you find during matches. The back bling is a cosmetic sold in the shop. Owning one doesn’t unlock the other.
Second, don’t chase free versions. No Obsession cup, quest or code has been announced. ComicBasics says it could possibly be earned through a Fortnite Cup, and Esports.gg expects a tournament, but both are guesses. Sites offering a free Nikki skin or free V-Bucks are a common way to steal Epic logins. Only trust offers on Epic’s own channels.
Is she worth buying?
That depends on whether you’ve seen the film. Obsession grossed over $500 million on a $750,000 budget and came out in May, so this is an unusually quick turnaround for a Fortnite skin. Forbes also points out Nikki is “normal girl with funny faces” next to spookier Halloween skins. Her appeal is the film’s references, not a monster design.
Based on the estimates, I’d buy the outfit if it lands around 1,500 V-Bucks with the back bling included, as The Purge’s set did. I’d skip the pickaxe and emote unless you want the whole set, and I’d wait for the actual price first. If you don’t know the film, there are better-looking horror skins in this year’s lineup.
What to expect next
Epic hasn’t said how long Nikki will stay in the shop. Beebom reports Fortnitemares runs until the end of Chapter 7 Season 4, and Timesaver puts that at November 1 per Epic’s Battle Pass page, which I couldn’t open. Nikki joins a lineup that already includes Five Nights at Freddy’s, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Purge and Slender Man. If you want her, I’d decide in the first few days instead of waiting for a return.
